Hello and welcome! I'm a game audio professional with 17+ years of experience spanning audio direction, composition, sound design, and implementation — across both AAA and indie titles.

My work touches every part of the audio pipeline: voice casting and direction, Foley, sound design, music, and end-to-end implementation in Unreal Engine, UEFN, Unity, Wwise, and FMOD. I've led and collaborated with audio teams both in-house and external, including diverse, multilingual groups across the U.S. and internationally.

Alongside studio work, I serve as a part-time remote adjunct professor at Duke University, where I help shape the next generation of game audio professionals — including how they think about the rapidly evolving tools of the craft.

On that note: I've been actively integrating AI tools like ElevenLabs, Suno, and Udio into my workflow for rapid prototyping and fast turnarounds — while still leaning on the craft instincts and traditional skills that 15+ years of hands-on work have built. AI is a force multiplier, not a replacement for taste.

Sound Design Reel

Here are some videos featuring a selection of my sound design, voice-over, and implementation work.

I did sound design for footstep and movement foley for all surfaces, grenade toss foley, and weapon reload editing and implementation for all weapons in game.

As the audio director for this game, I was responsible for creating and implementing all sound design, foley, music an VO using Unity and FMOD.

As the audio director for this game, I was responsible for defining the VO language. Our creative director decided we should go with a gibberish style, so I single-handedly created the gibberish language, then cast, recorded, edited, and implemented all character voices using Unity and FMOD.

I was responsible for dialogue editing and implementation for Simlish VO.

Supported our large audio team by creating and implementing various sounds.

I was responsible for sound design and implementation, as well as teaching a small audio team in Taipei, Taiwan how to use Wwise to implement pre-existing sounds into the Wii port of this game. I was the direct liaison between our Santa Monica, San Francisco, and Taipei studios.

I worked on a small audio team as a technical sound designer, implementing various sounds.

Sole sound designer — all SFX, foley, and mix created for this trailer.

As the audio lead for this original IP, I set up the audio pipeline from scratch using Unreal Engine and Wwise, and managed a 3-person audio team offsite. I crafted asset lists, iterated based on feedback, and assisted in implementing sound design in-engine.

Led audio direction for a Netflix-exclusive game, creating and implementing music transition points, voice-over, and sound effects while managing the composer and overall audio production.

Testimonials

I worked with Kristi for 3+ years as Mountaintop’s Audio Lead. Kristi has a great ear for audio, a clear sense of what is needed to bring a good fullness to the experience (shooters) without crowding essential gameplay and map cues, and mastery of a diverse range of technology needed to get great results. I worked a lot with Kristi on VO to select voice actors, and appreciated the artistry and nuance she brought to design. Kristi worked extremely well with outsourcing partners, and was well liked by the team. Kristi also recommended music and gave critical feedback and direction to picking pieces. I was really happy with Kristi’s many and varied contributions to Spectre Divide and enjoyed the opportunity to work directly with her.
— Mark Terrano - Design Director & Founder at Mountaintop Studios
Kristi is inventive, energetic, ambitious and a true creative spirit. A versatile contributor, always ready to step in where needed, she covered everything from foley and field recording, to sound design, implementation, asset tracking, vendor scheduling and support. Fun to work with, a great communicator and an asset to any team
— Jerry Berlongieri - Audio Director
I’m very pleased to write a recommendation for Kristi! Not only is she a key player on our team, but her positive attitude and great sense of humor also contributed to an awesome workplace. Kristi’s skills and leadership qualities are a benefit to any team. I hope to have the opportunity to work with her again.
— Tricia Stokes - Lead Environment Artist
Kristi puts everything into her work and it shows! Her can-do, service-minded approach to sound makes her a pleasure to work with - and her creativity and passion do the rest. I still hear her work in Bash Party whenever we play it - and it always makes me smile. Attention to detail, fantastic work ethic... she will rock your world!
— Robin Hunicke - Co-Founder Funomena
Working with Kristi is an absolute joy, even from across the country! Kristi is extremely professional and independent with her audio work, managing to seamlessly integrate with the team. As the Producer, I can always count on Kristi to know which sounds or music is needed for any given area of the game, and to understand what tasks are required within a given time. The audio quality is always dead-on and she is able to implement the custom sounds she creates into the game on her own. She even goes above and beyond what is asked, like when she established a gibberish language for Where Cards Fall. We are so lucky to have Kristi on the team!
— Ivona Edry - Producer
Kristi takes both creative and logistical assignments and brings back the type results only possible in someone with true passion and a team oriented perspective. On a recent project I turned to Kristi to deliver loads of oohey gooey gore foley sound sync’d to picture for a comedy horror film. This adventure into disgusting yet comical goop required a high degree of organization, creative thinking, nuance, technical know-how and hard work. All of which was completely invisible to me...all I got was great sound, well cut and ready to mix. On top of all this is a fun and energetic personality that seems to help push everything she’s involve with in positive directions. I always look forward to working with Kristi and highly recommend her
